It is my great pleasure to welcome you to the Frankfurt RheinMain joint stand at #MIPIM2023!

As Germany‘s capital of green buildings, Frankfurt am Main is striving to set new accents. Digitalization is crucial for the implementation of climate-friendly buildings and the achievement of energy efficiency targets. Frankfurt-based proptech companies present a wide range of profitable technologies and solutions for optimizing the carbon footprint of real estate. Current real estate developments in the Main metropolis are setting new sustainability standards and can even access Frankfurt-specific funding programs as a result: An increasing number of building materials made from renewable resources are being used, biophilic design shapes new buildings, roof gardens are being supplemented by more and more innovative green facades. Even the waste heat from data centers is to be used to provide one hundred percent of the heat supply for a newly planned commercial area.

So, there is no doubt that these days open up new opportunities for the adaptability and diversity of Frankfurt am Main. The metropolis not only benefits from its momentous economic and urban quality but also presents itself as a dynamic, resilient business location with excellent growth capacities. The city’s high potential featuring stable demand structures, steadily increasing employment rates, a large number of strong and sustainable industries, rapidly growing digitalization, a well-trained workforce, an excellent infrastructure, and a high quality of life strengthens Frankfurt’s position as one of the most popular investment locations in Europe. Last but not least, it is the wide range of innovative ideas and visions as well as the internationality of Frankfurt’s citizens that shape the unique character of our city.

Consequently, we are proud that with Frankfurt Four once again a project from our city has been nominated for the prestigious MIPIM Awards. Following the prizes awarded to the MainTor area, The Squaire, and the Neue Frankfurter Altstadt with the Dom-Römer-Areal, the nomination is further proof of the high attractiveness of Frankfurt as a real estate location. We keep our fingers crossed for the project team and hope that another award will go to Frankfurt this year!

While overall conditions are changing around the world, and crises and unforeseen events are exerting a sometimes strong influence on our daily life, our goal for Frankfurt’s future development is certain: We will maintain the features that distinguish Frankfurt am Main as an international business center and as an inspiring, vibrant city that places great value on environmental quality and a high standard of living.
